Fire department kept running on Thurs. morning
The North Platte Telegraph The North Platte Fire Department was busy Thursday morning as it responded to calls on both F and Willow Streets. According to assistant chief Dennis Thompson, an employee from Municipal Light and Water reported that he was driving by 604 East F Street at 8:30 a.m. when he noticed a fire on the outside of a home.

Bucks County man and woman killed in Poconos crash Friday
Fatal crash happened half hour after another accident in which a driver remains critical. State police identified Saturday the two people who were killed on Interstate 380 in the Poconos Friday morning when a tractor-trailer rear-ended their sport-utility vehicle that had braked for a traffic jam at the scene of an earlier accident.
